After weeks of working (and procrastinating 😅), Van Levinson Gould is finally done!
Well, I say she’s done, but what I really mean is that she’s done for now. I think there will probably always be something that we’ll be working on or adding to.
Still on the list is curtains for the windows, but I don’t count that as building. 🙂 They will come some time this summer.
So without further ado…
I’m really loving our new backsplash. 😍 There’s a window back there, and I had originally just planned to put up a curtain. But then I started thinking about how gross a curtain would get in the kitchen, and we decided to go with the backsplash. We put up insulation, plywood, and this cute peel and stick wallpaper from Target.
We also got our spices back up. At first they were just on magnets, but they fell a few too many times while we were driving. 🥲 So Rett screwed the lids up to the bottom of the cabinet and they’re drive-safe.
And you can see our new and improved toilet-disguiser. I really wanted to build a more permanent box around it with a hinged lid, but there just wasn’t enough room in that tiny spot. So we added this top (a new place for junk to collect 😅) and curtain that are both removable for when we have to go. 🚽
Here’s a view from the back door. I love the little lights above the cabinets that I finally got secured. 😍
And here’s my favorite new addition – a magnetic “headboard” above our bed. 😍 We’ve always gotten souvenir magnets on trips, even before the bus. We’ve got magnets from every trip we’ve been on since we got married in 2014. I also got this cute little printer that lets me print 2×3 pictures straight from my phone. This board will be filled up in no time. 😁
We also finished all of the trim around the windows and the crazy weird thing around the door. 😅 I’m so glad we’re done with all of the building, but now I’m thinking about conversion #3. 🤔
